American Holistic Nurses Credentialing Corporation Receives Accreditation of its Programs From the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification
Mt Laurel, NJ, (October 16, 2024) —The Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification (ABSNC), is pleased to announce The American Holistic Nurses Credentialing Corporation (AHNCC) has been granted reaccreditation for their certification programs:
HN-BC® Holistic Nurse - Board Certified
HNB-BC® Holistic Nurse Baccalaureate - Board Certified
AHN-BC® Advanced Holistic Nurse - Board Certified
APHN-BC® Advanced Practice Holistic Nurse - Board Certified
NC-BC® Nurse Coach - Board Certified
The mission of the American Holistic Nurses Credentialing Corporation is to advance holistic, person-centered, relationship-based care that emphasizes clients as the experts of their own experience, and nurses as instruments of healing, by assuming full administrative authority and sole responsibility over credentialing programs based in the values, knowledge, and skills of Holistic Nursing. AHNCC is responsible for ensuring the validity, reliability, security, administration, and integrity of all of its Certification Examinations including the Basic and Advanced examinations designed specifically for Holistic Nurses, and the Nurse Coach Role examination designed for all nurses. AHNCC has certified over 5500 nurses in Holistic Nursing and Nurse Coaching.
ABSNC accreditation is a peer-reviewed mechanism that allows nursing certifying organizations to obtain program accreditation by demonstrating compliance with the highest quality standards in the industry. To maintain accreditation, programs must exhibit continuing adherence to the 18 standards set forth. “ABSNC Accreditation represents a recognized standard in certification testing and indicates that the credential meets or exceed legal and regulatory guidelines,” said Felicia Lembesis, CAE, Executive Director.
The mission of ABSNC is to recognize quality specialty nursing and associated non-RN certification programs through accreditation. It is the only accrediting body specifically for nursing certification. ABSNC currently accredits more than 80 certification programs from 27 specialty nursing certification organizations. The accreditation standards offered by ABSNC include Examination-Based Certification Programs, Portfolio Assessment Certification Programs, and Assessment-Based Certificate Programs.
