ABSNC Announces Results of the 2023 Elections
Mt. Laurel, NJ – April 3, 2023—The Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification (ABSNC) is pleased to announce results of the 2023 election for Board Director and Officers. The new Director’s and Officers’ terms will begin with the 2023-2024 fiscal year on July1st. The new board member will serve a three-year term. Officers will serve a two-year term.
Elected as Director by the board is Brenna Morse, PhD, FNP-BC, NCSN, CNE, PMGT-BC, FNASN. Ms. Morse is an Associate Professor at Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professionals.
The following slate of officers were elected to serve two-year terms for 2023-2025:
- President - Margaret Erickson, PhD, RN, CNS, APRN, APHN-BC®, SGAHN. Margaret is currently the Chief Executive Officer of American Holistic Nurses Credentialing Corporation (AHNCC).
- President-Elect - Cynthia Beckett, PhD, RNC-OB, LCCE, LSS-BB, CHRC, EBP-C. Cynthia is the Evidence-based Practice Certification Program Director for the Ohio State University Helene Fuld Health Trust National Institute for Evidence-based Practice in Nursing and Healthcare and also serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor for The Ohio State University College of Nursing.
- Vice President - Amy Grand, MSN, RN. Amy is the Director of Certification and Accreditation for the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN).
- Secretary-Treasurer - Dawn Whiteside, MSN, RN, CNOR, NPD-BC, RNFA. Dawn is the Director of Education, Competency & Credentialing Institute (CCI).
